How to: Set properties for a query.
Solution:
In the Query Design view, click in the query, and select the 'View' menu and select 'Properties'. Then make the desired changes to the properties.
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) Open the Query in the Query Design view.
3) Click in the Query Design view.
NOTE: Make sure no fields or tables are selected.
4) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Properties'. (The Query Properties property sheet appears.)
5) Make the desired changes to the properties.
NOTE: If there is more than one tab at the top of the property sheet, click each tab, and make the desired changes.
6) To close the 'Query Properties' property sheet, click the 'X' in the upper-right hand corner of the property sheet.
Click X button to close property sheet
NOTE: The properties will be saved only when the design view is saved.
7) To save the Query Design view:
a) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save'. (If the query was an existing query, the query and the properties are saved. If the query was just created, the Save As dialog box appears.)
b) If the 'Save As' dialog box appears:
1] Type a name for the query in the 'Query Name' box.
2] Click 'OK'.
8) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the Form Design view.
